The Diocese of Ogdensburg established by Pope Pius IX on February 16, 1872, has 92 active diocesan priests, 50 retired priests, 8 priests belonging to religious institutes, 8 priests working or studying outside of the diocese, 67 permanent deacons, 12 brothers, 157sisters and 554 lay ministers.
It has 119 parishes, 19 missions and 17 parochial oratories. In addition, 21 elementary schools, 2 high schools, 3 nursing homes, 1 alcoholic rehabilitation center and 1 conference center.
The Catholic population is 128,326.
