History:  In 1992, the US Conference of Catholic Bishops began work to define and engage a group they called Young adults.  In 1996 they adopted the final proposal of a document:  “Sons & Daughters of the Light”.  This document gave us an age of 18 – 39 years of age, a definition, a vision and gave our dioceses a plan for implementation of good ministry to this group.

Rev. Harry Giroux was initially charged with this ministry and Campus Ministry.

Currently, Rev. Timothy Canaan is the Diocesan Director of Campus Ministry and oversees the Office of Young Adult Ministry. 

Currently, Dr. Gilbert (Gib) E. Patenaude is the Diocesan Director for Young Adult Ministry.
