"We are not some casual and meaningless product of evolution. Each of us is the result of a thought of God. Each of us is willed, each of us is loved, each of us is necessary".

~Pope Benedict XVI Inaugural Homily 4/05

Dear Friends:

Welcome to the Respect Life webpage.  We are honored to be the first lay couple to head this office. Formerly, a diocesan priest performed these duties.

We live in Saranac Lake and are the proud parents of three daughters: Amanda, administrative assistant at Rachel's Vineyard Ministries, Erin, a junior Marriage and Family Studies major at DeSales University and Ellen, a high school sophomore.

We have been involved in the Pro-Life arena for several years. We have led a group to the DC March for Life for the past 15 years, taken part in Planned Parenthood pickets, LIFECHAINS and pro-life events that witness to the sanctity of all human life.  We volunteer at the Champlain Valley Right to Life Clinton County Fair booth each summer and strive to promote an awareness of life issues to the public by means of articles and letters to the editor. We also conduct respect life workshops in order to educate the youth.

John is an investigator with the NYS Police Computer Crime Unit . He is a Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus. Colleen is a reporter and photographer for the North Country Catholic Newspaper and has written several articles for catholicexchange.com.

We’re both active in youth ministry and have led groups to World Youth Day Toronto and Germany.

Please to not hesitate to contact us with any questions or news you may have concerning Respect Life. We will do our best to keep those in the Diocese informed of pro-life happenings and issues via their pastors, this web page and the North Country Catholic, diocesan newspaper. We’d like to thank the Bishop for allowing us to fill this important role.
